Perfect Eleven (“we,” “us,” the “Game”), operated by SportsMarket LLC, is a free browser game available at
theperfecteleven.com. This policy explains what information
is collected when you use the Game, how it is used, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.
There are no user accounts, and we collect as little as possible — but the Game has grown, so this
policy now lists everything it actually processes.
Information you choose to share
Leaderboard entries — a display name and optional city, shown publicly beside your
team or prediction on the boards. Please use a nickname rather than real personal details.
Predictions and votes — gameweek score calls, season predictions, Team of the Week
picks, award picks and player up/down votes are stored server-side, keyed to an anonymous random
identifier generated in your browser (no name attached unless you add one for a board).
Purchase email — if you buy Premium, Stripe collects your email for the receipt.
If you later use “restore purchase,” we look that email up against Stripe’s records to re-verify
your purchase. We do not use it for marketing.
Information created to run the Game
Anonymous player identifier — a random string in your browser’s localStorage that
keys your predictions and board rows. It is not linked to your identity.
Entitlement tokens and device identifiers — after a Premium purchase we issue a signed
token referencing your Stripe checkout session, and count the devices it is redeemed on (limit 3).
These exist to honour your purchase and prevent shared-link abuse.
Stripe verification identifiers — the checkout session ID Stripe returns is verified
server-side against Stripe using our secret key, then referenced by your entitlement token. Payment
card details never touch our servers; Stripe processes them under
its own privacy policy.
Referral codes — if you share or redeem a friend-discount code we store the code and
its redemption count, not identities.
IP addresses and server logs — processed transiently to rate-limit submissions,
block abuse and keep the service up. IPs are not displayed and are not used to profile you.
Push subscriptions — if you opt in to reminders, your browser creates an anonymous
push endpoint we store solely to deliver the reminders you asked for. Turning notifications off in
your browser stops delivery and lets us discard the stale subscription.
Local game data — progress, streaks, settings, badges and your premium flag live in
your browser’s localStorage, on your device, clearable any time via browser settings.
Providers we rely on
Hosting and serverless functions: Vercel. Data store for boards, predictions and
entitlements: Upstash. Payments: Stripe. Advertising:
Google AdSense. Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless).
Live football data: the official Premier League/FPL public feeds (no personal data involved).
Cookies and advertising
Current status: the site is awaiting AdSense approval, so no ads are being served yet. The section
below describes what happens once they are, and takes effect at that point.
We use Google AdSense to display advertising on editorial pages (articles and guides),
which helps keep the Game free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based
on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can read how Google uses information from sites
that use its services at
policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland a consent message is shown before any
advertising cookies are used, using a Google-certified consent management platform. Until advertising
begins serving, no advertising cookies are set at all. You can change or
withdraw your consent at any time from the “Privacy settings” link the message provides. Where US state
privacy laws apply, an equivalent choice is offered.
Retention
Leaderboard rows, predictions and votes: kept for the season they belong to (up to ~1 year), then expire.
Entitlement and device records: kept for the 12-month life of the purchase, then expire. Exception:
a small number of early purchases were sold as lifetime unlocks rather than a 365-day season
pass; those records are kept for as long as we honour the unlock, so the purchase can still be restored.
Rate-limit counters and transient logs: minutes to days.
Push subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or delivery permanently fails.
Deletion, correction and your rights
Email us to have a leaderboard row removed or renamed, a prediction entry deleted, a push subscription
purged, or your purchase records located and deleted (deleting entitlement records will end premium
access). We will act on verifiable requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also
have statutory rights of access, correction, deletion and portability — the same email is the way to
exercise all of them.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service, to understand aggregate, anonymous usage of the Game.
This data is not used to identify individuals.
Children
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children. The prediction games are free — there is no entry fee,
no betting, and no cash prizes or items of value.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated”
date above.
