About

Perfect Eleven is a free browser game at theperfecteleven.com. A wheel spins to a Premier League club, you pick one of its players, and you repeat until your starting eleven is complete — with chemistry rewarding a side that actually fits, so the best players do not always make the best team.

It was built because the best version of this argument — who really makes the perfect XI — usually happens in a group chat with no scoreboard. Perfect Eleven turns that argument into a game with real squads, real constraints and a number at the end. No accounts, no download, no setup.

What you can play

Free, every week: Classic and Nations XI (the plain build-an-XI drafts — spin a nation, pick one of its players, twelve spins for eleven players and a manager), PL Daily (one shared draft a day, one attempt, same twelve spins for everyone), Challenge a Friend head-to-head on an identical seed, Pick Your Team of the Week against the real statistical XI, joining a private league of up to eleven friends, the twenty-second games — 3 FROM 6, Daily Duel and Perfect Link — and Scorer & Assister, one scorer and one assister named in every fixture of the gameweek and settled on real goals (during an international break, the International Scorer & Assister runs the same game over the break's featured fixtures, International Break Predictions asks for the result and the score of each one, and the International Break XI locks a Nations XI whose players score when their nations win or draw, and the International Team of the Week asks you to call each round's XI, computed from the round's line-ups and results, before the round kicks off).

The Draft Lab is the paid tier — Club Draft, Positional Picker and PL Legends, a 300-strong roster of Premier League icons with club, nation and era chemistry — plus gameweek score predictions, starting a private league, posting a season prediction to the board, International Tactical and International Top 50, the World Cup archive’s Tactical, Top 50 and Legends, and the five More Boards leaderboards (the Team of the Week, PL Daily and 3 FROM 6 boards stay free). One payment, twelve months, nothing auto-renews. Anyone who made a gameweek prediction or created a league before 13 September 2026 keeps that access free for 2026-27.

International and the World Cup 2026 archive

The homepage has two sides. The Premier League is the main one; tap International on the switch and the wheel spins nations instead of clubs. That side holds the International drafts on the live call-ups — Nations XI, International Tactical and International Top 50, all 62 nations including the ones that missed the World Cup — plus the World Cup 2026 archive drafts (Classic, Tactical, Top 50 and Legends). Nations XI and Classic, the plain draft on each side, are free, and so is the International Daily; the other drafts are part of the Season Pass. Challenge a mate, the nation head-to-head, is free for everyone while an international break is running and part of the pass outside one; receiving a challenge link and playing it is free either way. Every nation's roster in the game is labelled with the squad it deals. During international breaks (this one: 22 September to 6 October 2026, and the International side stays the homepage until the Premier League is back on 10 October), that side also runs a free International Daily Duel: two internationals, one shirt, ten seconds to choose who starts in your World XI, with a streak of its own.

This site was built for the 2026 World Cup, which finished on 19 July 2026 with Spain as champions. The tournament is kept as the World Cup 2026 archive rather than deleted: the bracket, the awards, the results and all 48 squad pages. The World Cup guides keep the predictions we published during the tournament, with any later change noted on the page — a public record of what we called at the time, right or wrong.

Who runs it

Perfect Eleven is built and operated by SportsMarket LLC, the one-person studio behind the @SportsMarket_FC football brand. SportsMarket builds football products and content for people who follow the game closely — the kind who know a squad list dropped before the press release did. The background here is in football media and small, fast-shipping product work — someone who watches the matches, reads the team sheets, and cares about getting the details right. Perfect Eleven is one of those products, shipped lean and updated week to week through the Premier League season.

How the data is made

Premier League squads are synced weekly from the official Fantasy Premier League feed, so a transfer or a new signing shows up in the game without anyone retyping it. The 48 World Cup squads are frozen as announced in June 2026, built from publicly reported call-ups via ESPN reporting. The nation drafts deal each federation's official squad for the September–October 2026 matches, checked against a second source, as each one is confirmed; a nation not yet confirmed keeps its June 2026 World Cup list.

Player ratings are editorial, not an official metric: one number per player on a single scale, set player by player and reviewed by hand as squads change, so the game stays playable and comparable across positions. PL Legends ratings are capped on their own 88–99 scale so an all-time XI cannot simply out-number a current one. Reasonable people will disagree with a rating here and there — that disagreement is the point, and corrections are welcome.

Team of the Week is not editorial: it is computed from official per-gameweek Premier League statistics and frozen once the gameweek is final, so the XI you are scored against never moves after the fact. The method is written up in full on the Team of the Week page.
